With its recent release of file-preserving Merge to HDR, Adobe seems to have found a market gap in the file-heavy photo editing world. Previously, I annotated this Adobe Photoshop review in the earlier version of the program, in which case the improvements are negligible. I’ve since learned that the flatting features in the latest version, the new Photoshop Elements updates, have been performing much better for end users, and any Photoshop user will want the latest version. They may or may not need an upgrade.

In this review, I will highlight some of the key Photoshop features that are new to Lightroom and Photoshop CS6. Some will be improvements, while some will be enhancements, but all will provide more opportunity to get outstanding results.

This month, we’re taking a closer look at the new Lightroom 5 and video editing software Adobe Premiere Elements 2021.
