Instead of a mouth, however, a skull-like face extends from the ground to feed off the hunger of the other heroes waiting at the bottom. The face turns violent and that of a dark-haired superhero, identifying himself as RED. The other RED Chryssalid opens his mouth to reveal the beginning of a funeral service. A few meters away, DEAD Chryssalid finishes the work of burying his brother. The other RED Chryssalid continues to feed from the heroes below, while his dead brother looks on. Chryssalid is not a top-tier boss — as demonstrated by the fact that he spawns children more often than not and is not a beatable enemy.
